At a bridal shower I helped coordinate in Sonoma, CA a few years ago, the mother and grandmother of the bride, surprised her with platters and platters of Swedish cookies. They were all made from recipes that had been in the family for generations. Each baby shower cookie paired perfectly with the cake, and the heartfelt moments that we experienced with their lovely family that day, is why I love planning special events.

You don?t want chocolate or sticky fingers touching the newborn gifts after the guest of honor has passed them around the room. Although I love chocolate (who doesn?t) it?s best to stay away from messy chocolate or any other messy cookies for a baby shower.
