The voter photo ID constitutional amendment gets a hearing before the Minnesota Senate finance committee. Opponents have been asking for more public testimony on the bill because it now includes provisional balloting. Public testimony on provisional balloting hasn?t been allowed the last two hearings.
In the bill?s last hearing, chair Senator Mike Parry (R-Waseca) seemed to indicate that the public would have a chance to speak on the bill.
The committee voted 9-6 to send the bill to the Senate Rules committee.
